Nakylah Carter is a data fellow at The Marshall Project. She received a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism at North Carolina A&T State University and is a second-year master’s student at The University of Missouri-Columbia obtaining a degree in data and investigative journalism. She has previously worked at ABC News’ Race and Culture Unit in Washington, D.C. and Triad Business Journal and currently is an Editorial Assistant for IRE & NICAR.
