Leslie Eaton is editor-at-large for investigations at The Marshall Project. Projects she edited have won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting, the Harry Frank Guggenheim Award for Excellence in Criminal Justice Reporting and the Collier Prize for State Government Accountability. She was investigative editor of The Dallas Morning News from 2016 through 2018, where her team won a Goldsmith, the Worth Bingham Prize for Investigative Journalism, the Scripps Howard Award for Distinguished Service to the First Amendment, an IRE award and a Loeb Award for local news. She previously served as Texas bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal and was a reporter at The New York Times from 1994 to 2008.
