David Dexter is the senior development writer for The Marshall Project, leading and executing communications strategy for donor outreach, and building and strengthening relationships with Marshall Project donors. His work supports The Marshall Project president, other key executives, and the fundraising team as they raise funds to support the organization. Dexter previously worked for The Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis, Maryland, where he was a senior development writer and worked on proposals for major gifts, planned communications strategy for multimillion-dollar giving campaigns, and supported frontline fundraising staff.
