Aithne Feay is a software engineer for The Marshall Project. She supports The Marshall Project's core digital products, developing new features to expand and serve our local audiences, and building custom presentations of major editorial features. Feay comes to The Marshall Project from The Atlantic, where she was a newsroom developer. There, she was part of the team that worked on Caitlin Dickerson’s Pulitzer-winning investigation of the Department of Homeland Security and its family separation and incarceration policies under the Trump administration. She also built a searchable database of all the copyrighted material used by AI companies. Previously, Feay was part of the team at Vox that built the open-source tool Autotune. Feay lives in Brooklyn, and she is a regular contributor to bicycling.com.
